Kiahan
Kiahan (脚絆), also known as Kyahan, was an auxiliary component of Japanese armor. It was a stocking/band that the bushi (warrior) wore on the bare calf, onto which the shin guard (suneate) was then attached. In modern usage, the term has come to mean "gaiters" in Japanese.
