The Jin-Baori (Japanese: 陣羽織, approx. "Field Camp Pull-over") or Jim-Baori is a light armor from Japan.
The Jin-Baori is a type of doublet worn for ceremonial occasions. It is usually made of fabric, silk, damask, brocade, or leather. It usually has no sleeves but a collar. The different versions are named as follows:
- Hampi-Baori: sleeveless
- Karaka-Baori: no sleeves, but ruffles on the shoulder
- Sode-Baori: flowing sleeves
Some of the Jin-Baori had brigandine trim on the shoulders for armor. They are often very richly embroidered and often bear the emblem of the clan or feudal lord (e.g., "Tokugawa-Mon") on the back.
